2A-MOLECULAR BIOLOGIST

Location : Changsha

Job ID ( Res1)( Futur Lab Deputy)

RESPONSIBILITIES :

-In charge of the molecular marker laboratory， involved in daily technical aspects of the production in the lab (management of the team， organisation of the lab work to provide the genotyping data).

-management of marker applied projects for rice breeding

-develop methods， protocols and tools to optimise the marker data production (SSRs， STS， ….)

-format and analyse the data， synthesis and reports

-monitor scientific information related to genetic mapping of the main targets for rice breeding， genotyping technologies.

-Bibliography studies and scientific survey in the topics related to marker assisted selection

-participate to collaborative projects (internal + external partnerships)







SKILL REQUIREMENT:

Fluent in English is compulsory (read， written and spoken)

-PhD in Molecular Biology

-Experience of at least 3 years with molecular tools (marker development， genetic mapping， QTL analysis) and lab robotics (capillary electrophoresis)

-Thorough knowledge in plant genetics， statistics， bioanalysis

-Experience in the use of robotic tools( capillary electrophoresis) and user of Microsoft offices (Word， Excel， Access， PowerPoint ) and marker analysis dedicated softwares (Genotyper， Genemapper， mapmaker….).

-Scientific rigour， analysis and synthesis ability

-Organisation， time management and excellent interpersonal and communication skills for operating in a plural team-oriented environment are essential.
